Eucharistic Practices at St. Giles

Everyone is welcome to Communion and to receive the bread and the wine. There is no intinction or dipping of the wafer or bread in the chalice (the wine).  If you choose to not receive the wine by sharing in the common cup you may receive the bread only and you can acknowledge the chalice by touching the side or base of the chalice.

Know that while receiving both the bread and the wine is normative for the Anglican Church, receiving only in one kind, (bread only or wine only) completes the Sacrament. If you do not want to receive the sacrament but do want a blessing, just cross your arms over your chest as a sign that you wish to receive a blessing.

A conversation with Archdeacon Wilma is always welcome.
